Marks & Spencer Homewares Picks

The bank holiday weekend is here and with it always comes a whole host of offers, which definitely brightens things up for those of us who have to work. Marks and Spencers currently have 20% off homeware online and instore, so I thought this would be a good time to point out some of my favourite homeware bits from there right now.

L-R Maxim High Ball Glasses, Truro Striped Dining Set, Andante Square Pasta Bowl

L-R Maxim High Ball Glasses (£9.60/4), 12 Piece Truro Striped Dining Set (£48), Andante Square Pasta Bowl (£3.20)

When we moved into the flat we got some lovely Jamie Oliver High Ball glasses but they are so fragile that we have managed to break 4 in just over 3 months. Not a great ratio. These Maxim High Ball Glasses are a really similar shape but seem a little more robust.

The Truro dining set seems lovely, it has a nice vintage style and would be a good way of adding a little pattern to your kitchenware without going over the top. We already have a dining set from M&S and it is really good quality so I would expect this to be the same.

We have two of these Andante pasta bowls already and I fully intend to pick up at least another two tomorrow. They are really robust, wash well and are great value. Ikea sell similar bowls to these but I do prefer the M&S ones. Not a groundbreaking, stylish summer pick by any means but a staple to nab when on offer.

I’ve been after a large tripod style floor lamp for a while now and I’m seriously considering the Modern Tripod Floor Lamp. I love the detailing at the top of the legs and the beech wood colour. It looks to be a good height and size even for a large tenement room like mine. Price wise it might seem on the steep side but floor lamps such as these are often completely extortionate so this seems really not too shabby in comparison.

We have slate coasters like these already, picked up in a little gift shop on holiday. As well as being practical we always get compliments on them from guests. You can also write on them with chalk, so they can double as coasters and namecards if you are having a tea party!

This glass cake stand is adorable. I’ve really got into baking lately and this would be a great way to store any baked goodies. It will also keep them away from our kitten Hugo’s prying paws… and maybe David’s too!

The 20% off homeware offer ends tomorrow. Have you got your eye on any M&S homewares?
