Whenever I get my hair done I get a little bit of a colour through it. Normally a little pink or lilac. However this normally fades before I need my highlights re-done. I decided to liven up the blonde with one of the Bleach London temporary hair dyes I had read so much about.
I chose Bruised Violet, a pinky-violet hue. It cost £5.00 from Boots and I managed to pick it up in one of their 3 for 2 deals – so definitely not too expensive. I decided to apply it in a dip-dye style. I applied to my wet hair as instructed. In order to do this easily I put an old towel round my shoulders, split my hair into bunches and applied the colour liberally to the ends. I then rinsed it out thoroughly and blow dried.
The results? Well the colour was great. I really loved it and got lots of compliments. As labelled the colour did begin to fade after the first wash. However rather than totally disappearing it stained the ends of my hair a rather unattractive green colour. For this reason I wouldn’t use it again. Perhaps it was because my hair was so light that is stained, but I’d really have a hard time recommending it as it doesn’t totally wash out. On the ends this didn’t look too bad but if you had applied this all over your head it would have really looked quite grim! The pictures show before & after – though apologies as they are really not great!
I do have the Rose (light pink) to try as well. I’m a little tempted as it seems much less pigmented. I’ll be sure to review if I do.
